1. 한국의 대표적인 배터리 소재 생산업체 중 하나인 Lotte Energy Materials Corp. 가 미국에 copper foil(동박) 공장을 지을 예정입니다. 이 회사는 Delaware 주에 내년 공사를 시작하기 위한 신청서를 제출했습니다. 

 

또한 이 회사는 북미의 테슬라 및 기타 전기 자동차 제조업체로부터 증가하는 배터리 부품 수요를 지원하는 것을 목표로 하고 있습니다.

3. 포드, 제너럴 모터스(GM), 스텔란티스는 목요일 이전 계약이 만료되었을 때 약 13,000명의 근로자들이 3개의 제조 공장을 폐쇄한 후 미국 자동차 노동조합(UAW)과 지속적인 협상에 직면해 있습니다.

 

UAW 노동자들은 일요일 아침 디트로이트 프리 프레스 보도에 상세히 나와 있는 포드 미시간 조립 공장의 최종 조립 및 페인트 시설을 폐쇄했습니다. 파업으로 오하이오주 스텔란티스 톨레도 조립공장과 미주리주 웬츠빌에 있는 GM 조립공장도 폐쇄됐습니다.

 

자동차 회사들과 UAW간의 협상은 이번 주에도 계속될 것으로 예상됩니다.

4. 대만 경제일보는 18일 “테슬라가 TSMC를 통해 생산하는 슈퍼컴퓨터용 반도체 ‘D1’ 물량이 크게 늘어날 것”이라며 “2025년까지 꾸준한 증가가 예상된다”고 보도했다.
