1. 기가 상하이는 8월 총 4만 4,264대를 납품했고, 3만 1,379대를 수출했습니다.

 

총 납품 대수는 8월(3만 2,968대) 대비 34.3% 늘었다고 합니다. 

 

이 소식이 나온 후, 주주들은 축제 분위기였죠. 3분기의 2번째 달의 생산량이 놀랄 수준이다 보니 9월은 더욱 기대를 갖게 하네요.

기가 상하이의 이번 달 생산량이 트로이님의 예측치보다 높기 때문에, 당연히 트로이님의 연말의 전체 딜리버리도 늘 것이라는 기대 안할 수가 없습니다.

2. 어제 기가 텍사스의 협력 업체들이 공장 주변에 부지 임대 계약을 했다는 내용을 포스팅 했었는데, 여기에 삼성도 포함이라는 소식이 나왔습니다.

 

삼성은 기가 텍사스에서 38분 거리에 있는 테일러에 170억 달러 규모의 칩 공장이 들어설 예정입니다.

 

이미 삼성은 테슬라의 핵심 공급 업체이기 때문에, 기가 텍사스를 위한 칩 공장으로 충분히 생각할 수 있습니다.

Tesla supplier Samsung will build a new chip factory in Taylor, just 38 minutes from Giga Texas. The South Korean manufacturer intends to spend $17 billion on the new facility.

Samsung Electronics has selected Taylor, Texas as the site for its $17 billion chip factory. On September 8, the company is going to discuss the construction of the facility with the city authorities. A source who works at Suwon, a chipmaker based in Gyeonggi, told the Korea Joong ang Daily that Samsung recently completed a huge investment decision.

3. 테슬라가 미국 특허청으로부터 레이저 윈드실드 와이퍼 허가를 받았습니다.

Tesla’s insane laser windshield wiper patent has been officially granted by the United States Patent Office this week. Filed in May 2019, the U.S. Patent Office granted the application, giving Tesla an exclusive right for the invention.

Tesla has played around with several ideas for windshield wipers in the past. In fact, in February, the company had a patent approved for a new wiper design for the Roadster, which would utilize an electromagnetic linear actuator to rid the windshield of moisture. It would essentially move from one side of the windshield to the other with one wiper in one motion.
