1. 테슬라가 FCC에 사이버/세미 트럭, 옵티머스 등에 사용할 수 있는 새로운 고해상도 레이더 장치를 등록했습니다. 

 

등록 이유에 대해 여러 추측들이 있는데, 해커 @greentheonly 님에 의하면 이미징 레이더 코드의 등장으로 이미징 레이더 사용할 계획이 이미 있었다고 합니다. 

 

고해상도 레이더는 전방의 물체를 조명하기 위해 레이저 빔을 사용하며, 프레임 속도를 높일 수 있다고 합니다. 

 

Tesla has registered a new high-resolution radar unit with the FCC that could be used for Semi, Cybertruck, or Optimus. This registration allows the company to sell products equipped with the new radars in the USA.

Last year, Tesla phased out the use of radar in its vehicles and began making cars with cameras only. Starting from May 2021, a phased transition to Tesla Vision began. Now, its cars using this technology rely entirely on cameras and neural network processing to provide Autopilot, FSD, and some active safety features.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the conflict of data from cameras and radar can lead to emergency situations, which is why radar wwas removed or deactivated in the manufacturer's cars. However, there is one detail that should not be forgotten. He said, “Only very high resolution radar is relevant.”

2. 테슬라 차이나에서의 모델3 딜리버리 기간 단축은 기가 상하이의 원활한 생산 재개 때문인 것으로 보입니다.

 

Tesla Giga Shanghai continues to successfully restore production, as evidenced by the shortening of Model 3 delivery times for customers in China. After more than three weeks of production shutdown and challenging reopening conditions, the factory is showing excellent performance.

The expected delivery time for the Tesla Model 3 in China has been reduced by four weeks, indicating that the factory is streamlining operations and recovering from a 22-day shutdown. Now, the expected delivery date for the Chinese-made, RWD version of the Model 3 for the Chinese market is 16-20 weeks, four weeks short of the previous 20-24 weeks. The expected delivery date for Model 3 Performance All-Wheel Drive is 12-16 weeks, also 4 weeks short of the previous 16-20 weeks.

Starlink may already be expanding its reach to several countries across the globe, but SpaceX CEO Elon Musk believes that it will still take some time before the satellite internet service is ready to go public. This was according to Musk during a recent all-hands meeting with SpaceX employees.

During the meeting, Musk reportedly highlighted that Starlink’s business needs to be in a “smooth sailing situation” with “good predictability” before it could be spun off as a public company. Musk noted that while he does not have an exact estimate as to when this would be the case, he is guessing that Starlink may be ready to go public three to four years from now.
