1. 기가 상하이에서 배터리 조립 라인 근로자들을 해고하고 있습니다. 

 

보상 협상 후 해고하고 있으며, 다른 파트 작업장으로 이동하는 직원도 소수 있습니다.

 

이러한 이유에 대해 여러 추측들이 있지만 개인적으로는 미국에서 생산된 배터리 탑재시 IRA 보조금을 받을 수 있기 때문인 것으로 조심스레 생각합니다.

 

Tesla Gigafactory Shanghai is laying off workers. The Tesla China layoffs specifically affect workers in Giga Shanghai’s electric vehicle (EV) battery assembly line. 

The reason behind the layoffs and the number of Tesla Giga Shanghai it affects is still unclear. People familiar with the matter told Bloomberg that Tesla China already started notifying some employees about the layoffs earlier this week. A few employees have been given the option to transfer to a different workshop in Giga Shanghai, like the paint shop, general assembly line, or stamping.

2. 2023년 7월 6일 상하이에서 열린 중국 자동차 포럼에서 테슬라와 16개 중국 기반 자동차 회사의 임원들이 EV 가격 전쟁 종결 및 휴전을 위한 서명식에 참여했습니다. 뭐,, 담합이라고 보면 되겠네요 ㅎ

 

이와 관련 블룸버그는 이미 시장은 EV 가격 전쟁 종결을 예상하고 있었을 것이라 보도했습니다.

 

Tesla and 16 Chinese automakers signed a truce ending the EV price war. Tesla was the only foreign automaker at the meeting. 

Executives from Tesla and 16 China-based automakers participated in a signing ceremony at the China Auto Forum in Shanghai held on July 6, 2023. China’s top car makers took part in the event, including BYD, Geely, and Xpeng Inc. The car manufacturers pledged to avoid abnormal pricing in China and maintain fair competition.
