1. 기가 상하이가 생산 라인을 업그레이드 중입니다.

 

모델Y 라인은 7월 17일 완료되어 가동 중이며, 모델3 라인은 7월 17일부터 업그레이드를 시작했고 8월 7일 완료될 예정입니다. 완료되면 8월 8일부터 이전과 같이 정상 가동됩니다. 

 

- 모델Y는 현재 하루 2천대씩 만들고 있는데, 8월부터는 2,200대로 점차 늘어납니다.

 

- 또한 모델3는 1천대에서 1,200대로 증가합니다. 그렇게 되면 주당 7,000-8,400대이고, 연간 365,000-438,000를 생산하게 됩니다.

 

Tesla Giga Shanghai is halfway to increasing production capacity to 1.2 million vehicles per year. The upgraded production line for Model Y is already running, and the upgrade of the production line for Model 3 is in progress.

Starting in July, Tesla is upgrading Giga Shanghai and will soon be ready for particularly large production volumes. Local media Auto Time reported that the Phase 1 production line responsible for the production of the Model 3 sedan began the upgrade on July 17 and is expected to be completed on August 7. Employees are expected to start working as usual from August 8. After the modernization is completed, one-day production of Model 3 will reach 1,000-1,200 units per day. This corresponds to 7,000-8,400 vehicles per week, or 365,000-438,000 Model 3s per year, which is a very significant increase.

2. 폭스바겐의 CEO 허버트 디스가 사임했습니다.

 

개인적인 생각을 정리하면, 공식적으로는 사임이지만 해고됐다는 표현이 맞을 것 같습니다. 허버트 디스는 폭스바겐을 전기차 업체로 변모시키려 노력 해왔던 인물로 노조는 그의 노력과 다가올 변화가 달갑지 않았을 것입니다. 아래의 영문 내용에도 보면 전기차 생산으로 제때 전환하지 못하면 3만명의 직원이 일자리를 잃을 수 있다고 경고했지만, 노조에서는 인력 감축은 없을 것이라 직원들에게 장담했다고 합니다.

 

변화하지 않으면 분명 죽는데 당장 내가 죽진 않으니 변화가 싫은 것입니다.

Diess and Volkswagen have clashed lately, especially since the VW AG CEO has pushed to accelerate the company’s electrification efforts. He warned the company that a failure to transition to electric vehicles in a timely fashion could cost 30,000 employees their jobs. Volkswagen’s labor union did not appreciate the comments, assuring workers that no eliminations in headcount would be made. Ultimately, Volkswagen’s board assigned a “mediation committee” to discuss Diess’s future at the company. He rescinded several responsibilities as a result of an agreement of punishment between him and the Mediation Committee.

3. Budget에서 Vancouver Island와 Okanagan, 두 장소에 모델3 25대를 대여할 수 있도록 추가했습니다.

 

You now have another option to rent a Tesla in British Columbia as at least two Budget locations have recently added Model 3s to their car rental fleet.

While Budget hasn’t advertised or promoted that they have added the electric sedan to their fleet, Drive Tesla has learned the company has added the electric sedan to their fleet on Vancouver Island and in the Okanagan this month. 

According to a Budget car rental store at the Victoria International Airport, as many as 25 Model 3 sedans are now available to rent on Vancouver Island.
