1. 기가 베를린이 BYD 구조용 배터리 팩 공급 받는 것이 루머가 아니라 사실로 판단됩니다. 

왜냐하면 테슬라가 EU로부터 BYD 구조용 배터리 팩을 탑재한 모델Y 생산 승인을 받았기 때문입니다.

 

모델Y 기본 버전에 들어가는 BYD 배터리 용량은 55kW/h 로 주행거리는 440km(273마일)입니다.

 

참고로 CATL 배터리 용량은 60kW/h 이며 주행거리는 455km(283마일)입니다.

Tesla has received EU approval to produce the Model Y with a structural battery pack from BYD. The characteristics of the battery indicate that this will be the basic version of the car, which has not yet been produced at Giga Berlin.

According to the documents reviewed by the blog, Model Y with batteries from BYD already has the approval of the type from the EU. The permit was issued by the Dutch authority RDW on July 1, 2022. Documents refer to the new Model Y variant as the Type 005, and internally as the Y7CR variant. The BYD battery capacity is rated at 55 kilowatt-hours, providing a range of 440 kilometers (273 miles).

To date, Tesla only sells the Model Y Long Range or Performance in Europe, and the base version of the car is sure to be a sought-after option. In the summer of 2021, Tesla registered a Model Y variant with rear-wheel drive and a smaller battery in the EU. CATL was listed as the supplier of the batteries, which had a capacity of 60 kilowatt-hours and provided 455 kilometers (283 miles).

3. 기가 네바다는 배터리 생산을 위한 copper foil 을 공급 받을 예정입니다.

 

이 copper foil 은 Redwood Materials 에서 제작하는데 오래된 테슬라 차량 배터리 등에서 재활용하여 만듭니다.

Tesla and Panasonic at Giga Nevada will soon receive domestically produced copper foil for battery production. Redwood Materials will make it from old Tesla car battery packs, and other sources. The material recycled in the US, which will become a component for the production of Tesla batteries, will enable the company's customers in the country to receive an incentive for the purchase of cars.

Redwood Materials, founded by Tesla co-founder J.B. Strobel, specializes in recycling materials for batteries. The company has been working with Panasonic since 2019, which manufactures batteries exclusively for Tesla at Giga Nevada. On Monday, Redwood announced that a closed circuit would soon be in place as copper from old Tesla batteries would be recycled into components for the new batteries.
