1. 테슬라가 미시건주에서 연구 개발 및 서비스를 위한 빌딩 확장에 승인을 받았습니다.

 

미시건주는 딜러 없이 온라인 판매를 하는 것에 대해 굉장히 강력 반대했던 주였기에 승인이 주는 의미가 크네요. 

 

After years of opposition, Tesla is able to start providing services to its customers in Michigan. It has now become known that the manufacturer is receiving approval to expand a building for R&D and service in the state.

Michigan was one of Tesla's most emphatic critics of using online selling without traditional franchise dealers. The domestic automakers felt that it would be unfair to give Tesla so much control over their retail business. 

Tesla filed a lawsuit in 2016 after several years of trying to change state legislation. After that, in 2020, the company and state reached an agreement and Tesla was allowed to sell, deliver, and service EVs in Michigan.

2. 캘리포니아 Lathrop 에 위치하고 있는 메가팩토리에서 메가팩을 연간 1만개를 생산할 수 있게 되었습니다.

Tesla Megafactory in Lathrop will be able to produce 10,000 Megapacks per year while operating at full capacity. The company's goal is to achieve a production capacity of 40 GWh Megapacks per year.

Tesla continues to demonstrate its new factory for Megapack production. The construction of the Megafactory, located in Lathrop, California, began in April 2021 and after one year, in the spring of 2022, it began its work, making an important contribution to the development of the company's business. Tesla shared on Instagram a fresh new video filmed at the Megafactory, which shows several stages of the production of huge batteries.

3. 테슬라가 자사의 차량에서 통신 서비스를 제공하기 위해 캐나다에서 통신면허를 신청했습니다. 

 

Tesla has applied for a telecommunications license in Canada. According to the filing, the company plans to provide machine-to-machine cellular data service for its vehicles.

In the filing, Tesla made it clear that it would provide machine-to-machine cellular data service for in-vehicle infotainment access, internet access, and “mobile terminating SMS to wake up vehicles.” At the same time, the manufacturer explained that it will not own and operate transmission facilities in Canada.

Baron is a longtime investor in Tesla, first acquiring a stake in the company in 2014. He has a combined stake in Tesla worth about $4 billion. The investor believes that in 2025, the company's shares will be worth about $500-600 each, and in 8-10 years, the total value of the company will be about $4.5 trillion.

5. 독일 정부는 내년부터 전기차 장려금을 줄일 예정입니다.

 

이에 대한 대책으로 테슬라에서는 올해 12월 31일까지 모델Y를 주문한 고객에 한해 내년에 차량을 인도하게 되더라도 테슬라에서 직접 인센티브를 제공하여 장려금을 받는 효과를 갖게 할 예정입니다.

 

Tesla Model Y reservation holders in Germany have received messages from the electric vehicle maker that hints at the company’s focus on its customers. As per the message, Model Y customers who are unable to take delivery of their vehicles by the end of the year will still receive the German government’s current incentives for electric cars — Tesla will simply be paying for the difference. 

Germany’s government incentives for electric vehicles are expected to be reduced next year. This would have been bad news for some Tesla customers, as demand for the Model 3 and Model Y has resulted in some orders likely being fulfilled in 2023. Thus, even if vehicles are ordered today, some customers would likely end up taking delivery of their cars in 2023, when the German government’s electric vehicle incentives would already be adjusted.
