1. SEC에 의하면, 올해 10월, 르네상스 테크놀로지스, 아리스티드스 캐피털, 아데이지 캐피털 파트너스 등 미국의 헤지펀드와 자산운용사 211 곳이 테슬라의 지분을 추가했습니다.

 

추가의 주된 이유는 4Q2021의 딜리버리 기대와 기가 베를린과 텍사스의 가동 때문이었습니다.

 

Hundreds of hedge funds and asset management companies added a stake in Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) in Q3 2021. Analysts expect the manufacturer to perform well this year, which has already been confirmed by strong performance for most of the year.

2. 트위터 데이브 리님께서 세금 관련해서 자세히 표로 알려주셨네요. 

 

제가 이해한대로 설명하면, 

 

머스크는 170M주를 보유 중이었고, 22.8M주 옵션 행사를 하기 위해서는 보유 주식을 매각해야 했습니다.

 

1번째 방법은 기존 보유 주식의 10%를 매각하는 것인데, 이럴 경우 세율은 23.8% 입니다.

2번째 방법은 22.8M주 옵션을 행사하고 얻은 주식의 3/4을 매도하는 것인데, 이 경우의 세율이 52.65% 인 것이죠.

물론, 두 가지 방법 어느 것을 선택해도 옵션 행사 후의 보유 주식은 175.8M주가 되며, 정부에 $12.6B을 내야 합니다.

 

 

그런데 1번째 방법은 $913M 이 생기고, 2번째 방법은 $5,161M 이 생기네요. 

 

저라면, 5배 이상의 현금이 생기는 2번째 방법을 택했을 텐데, 머스크는 1번째 방법을 선택한 것으로 보입니다.

3. 국가교통안전위원회(NTSB)가 2020년 미국 캘리포니아 주에서 모델3가 추락해 75세 운전자와 그의 부인이 사망한 사고에 대해 조사를 포기했습니다. 

 

올해 초 사고 조사에 착수했지만, 추락에 대한 테슬라와 차량의 책임이 없다고 판단했습니다.

 

In 2020, a Tesla Model 3 driving in Saratoga, California, crashed and killed a 75-year-old driver and his wife. The vehicle struck a minivan and then exited the highway it was traveling on. The car struck the minivan at about 68 miles per hour, then increased its speed to 72 MPH before the vehicle’s Automatic Emergency Braking safety measure took effect. This dropped the speed, but Model 3 was driving at speeds of up to 114 miles per hour before encountering first contact with another vehicle. Vehicle data showed the driver increased accelerator pedal pressure to 95% before striking the minivan.

The NTSB launched a probe into the accident earlier this year but closed the investigation on Tuesday after finding that neither Tesla nor the vehicle was responsible for the crash. The NTSB said the “investigation was initiated to support the NTSB’s interest in automated vehicle performance” when launching the probe earlier this year. However, on Tuesday, the agency stated that “no further action beyond this memorandum will be taken.”
